Sanjay Khan apologizes for not recognizing Preity Zinta on plane

Celebrities bumping into each other at the airports and mid-flights is nothing new. If anything it helps them catch up on the usual gossip and even build new friendships in an otherwise boring flight. Boarding his flight to Dubai, veteran actor Sanjay Khan who was accompanied by his family failed to recognize actress Preity Zinta and has issued a formal apology.

The apology came after the actor’s daughter, Simone, kept telling him about Preity being on the same flight. The Trimurti actor, despite being reminded over and over again could not figure out who Preity was. Taking to his Twitter account, the star shared how he regretted not remembering the Kal Ho Na Ho actress because his daughter only mentioned her by her first name rather than her full name.

Dear Preity- as a gentleman I thought its my duty to apologise tht I couldn't recognize you when my daughter Simone introduced you on a flight to dubai. Only if Zinta was uttered I would have remembered you as I have seen many of ur films with ur beautiful face.@realpreityzinta

Had the name Zinta be mentioned, he would have instantly recognized the actress and maybe, exchange good graces. The 80-year-old didn’t say when this failure to recognize took place but we imagine Preity is unlikely to be holding a grudge.
