The Government of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) will increase the export of kinnow and also determined to increase the production of Kinnow.

According to the details, Provincial Minister for Human Resources and Development Ansar Majeed Niazi said on Monday that PTI led government was determined to increase the production of Kinnow and steps have been taken to celebrate National Citrus Day.

Minister said that for increasing the production the government was taking practical steps to set up Citrus Research Center so as agricultural experts from all over the world visit here to research on Citrus. Ansar Majeed said that PTI led government was resolute to provide maximum facilities for the welfare of Citrus cultivators of the area adding that ministers of Food and Agriculture would soon visit the citrus producing areas.

Sources said that addressing an opening ceremony of Kinnow Mela at Tehsil Kot Momin, the provincial minister said that Sargodha was producing 90% Kinnow of the total production of Pakistan. He added that it has been producing over 2 million tonnes annually.

Earlier on January 27, The export of Surgical goods and medical instruments increased about 9.56 %

According to the details, Surgical goods and Medical instruments exports from the country during six months of current financial year grew by 9.56% as compared the exports of the corresponding period of last year.

The sources of APP, During the period from July-December 2019, Surgical Goods and Medical Instruments worth $206,815 million was exported as compared to the exports of $188.764 million of same period of last year.
