Which Ministry will get how much development funds? Which ministry will not be considered? BOL News has revealed the information regarding budget allocated for the different departments and sectors in Pakistan. 

According to sources, the total volume of the federal development budget for the next financial year has been allocated Rs. 650 billion.

It has been suggested the budget for the fight against coronavirus pandemic and other natural disasters will be Rs 70 billion.

According to details, following are the key points of the budget 2020-21.

  1. Suggestions have been given to allocate Rs. 24 billion for small schemes of MPs under SDGs.
  2. Furthermore, suggestions have been given to allocate Rs 3 billion for ERA, an institution integrated into NDMA.
  3. It is estimated that 577 billion 52 crores will be given for the federal development budget from the domestic sources.
  4. Apart from that, it is also estimated that 74 billion 42 crores will be given for the federal development budget from international sources.
  5. Development budget for the federal ministries will be reduced from Rs 420.29 billion to Rs 418.76 billion, according to the budget document.
  6. The budget for the water resources has been reduced from Rs. 85.72 billion to Rs. 81.25 billion

  8. budget for the railway ministry has been increased from Rs. 16 billion to 24 billion.
  9. The budget for the finance ministry has been reduced from Rs. 84.82 billion to Rs. 66.66 billion.
  10. Budget for the cabinet minister has been increased from Rs. 39 billion 98 crores to Rs. 47.80 billion.
  11. Fund for the Higher Education Commission has been increased from Rs. 29 billion 20 crores to Rs. 19 billion 46 crores.
  12. The budget for the Ministry of Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs has been increased from Rs. 44.85 billion to 52.42 billion.
  13. The budget of the Ministry of Food Security has been reduced from Rs 12.05 billion to Rs 12 billion.

  15. The budget of the Ministry of Atomic Energy Commission has been reduced from Rs 24.26 billion to Rs 23.30 billion.
  16. The budget for the Interior Ministry has been increased from Rs 9.85 billion to Rs 14.76 billion
  17. The budget of the Ministry of Science and Technology has been decreased from Rs 7.46 billion to Rs 4.46 billion.
  18. The funds for the Ministry of Health has been increased from Rs 13.37 billion to Rs 14.50 billion.
  19. The budget of the Ministry of Information Technology has been decreased from Rs 7.34 billion to Rs 6.67 billion.
  20. The development budget of the Planning Commission has been decreased from Rs 6.71 billion to Rs 3.54 billion.

  22. The development budget of Housing and Works has been increased from Rs 3.43 billion to Rs 8.76 billion.
  23. The budget of the Ministry of Law has been decreased from Rs 1.34 billion to Rs 99 crore.
  24. The budget of the Ministry of Religious Affairs has been reduced from Rs 1 billion to Rs 53.9 million
  25. The development budget of the Board of Investment has been decreased from Rs. 10 crores to Rs. 8 crores.
  26. The Ministry of Aviation has decided to increase the budget from Rs 1.26 billion to Rs 1.32 billion
  27. It has been decided to reduce the budget for defense development from Rs 1.70 billion to Rs 1.58 billion.

  29. The budget for the Ministry of Climate Change has been reduced from Rs 7.58 billion to Rs 5 billion.
  30. The budget for the National Highways Authority has been reduced from Rs 154.96 billion to Rs 118.67 billion.
  31. The budget of Rs 42.53 billion has been allocated for PEPCO for its power projects.

Budget for Prime Minister’s youth and skills program, Gas Infrastructure Development has not been allocated. In addition to this, the clean green Pakistan movement has been excluded from the budget 2020-21. TDP Rehabilitation and Security Enhancement Program have also not been a part of this year’s budget.
