Search engine Google has announced to invest a whopping amount of $7 billion in order to establish new offices and data centres in the next 1 year.

According to the details, Chief Executive (CEO) Google Sundar Pichai has detailed that this investment will help strengthen the US economy amidst the COVID-19 pandemic crisis globally.

Sundar Pichai has stated: “Google wants to be a part of that recovery. That’s why we plan to invest over $7 billion in offices and data centres across the U.S. and create at least 10,000 new full-time Google jobs in the U.S. this year.”

“We project that our $250 million investment fund will help create 24,000 housing units by 2029,” he said.

The latest investment by Google will expand data centres in Nebraska, South Carolina and Texas.
