European stocks edge higher at open

European stocks markets rose barely at the open Thursday after Tokyo closed lower, as investors assess the chances of a worldwide recession in the wake of runaway inflation.
London’s benchmark FTSE 100 index gained 0.1 percent to 7,527.70 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt’s DAX index grew 0.3 percent to 14,042.51 points and the Paris CAC 40 won 0.1 percent to 6,305.79.
