Suncor Energy Inc (SU.TO) said on Friday its CEO, Mark Little, has ventured down after a series of fatalities at Canada’s third-biggest oil maker.

Little was likewise venturing down as president and leaving the load up taking effect right now, the Calgary, Alberta-based organization said in an explanation.

Little’s renunciation comes a day after a specialist was killed at Suncor’s oil sands base plant in northern Alberta. It was the second casualty at a Suncor site this year and the thirteenth starting around 2014.
