Dubai Unveils Public Transportation Schedule for 52nd Union Day Festivities

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has shared the operating hours for its services on the 52nd Union Day holiday. This includes customer happiness centers, paid parking zones, public buses, Dubai Metro and Tram, marine transport, and vehicle technical inspection centers.

Service Provider Centers (Vehicle Testing):

During the holiday, Service Provider Centers will be shut starting from Saturday, 2nd December. Vehicle technical inspection services will only resume on Monday, 4th December, at specific centers (Tasjeel Al Twar, AutoPro Satwa, AutoPro Al Mankhool, Tasjeel Al Awir, and Al Yalayis). Transactions in all centers will resume on Tuesday, 5th December.

Customer Happiness Centers:

Customer Happiness Centers will be closed during the holiday. However, Smart Customer Happiness Centers in Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, Al Kifaf, and RTA’s Head Office will continue regular operations around the clock.

Dubai Metro:

From November 30th to December 12th, the Red and Green Lines of the Dubai Metro will have adjusted operating hours. On Thursday to Sunday (November 30th to December 3rd), services will run from 5:00 am to 1:00 am the next day. From Monday to Sunday (December 4th to December 10th), the schedule will be from 5:00 am to 1:00 am the next day. On Monday and Tuesday (December 11th to December 12th), services will run from 5:00 am to 1:00 am the next day.

Dubai Tram:

From November 30th to December 12th, the Dubai Tram will operate from 6:00 am to 1:00 am the next day from Mondays to Saturdays, and on Sundays from 9:00 am to 1:00 am the next day.

Public Buses (Dubai Bus):

From December 1st to December 3rd, 16 bus routes will be redirected on Sheikh Zayed Road (towards Abu Dhabi only). These routes (10, 15, 21, 7, 8, 83, 91, E101, 98E, 96, 95A, 95, 91A, X94, X92, E102) will experience delays from 6:30 am to 11:30 am, and some trips may be canceled due to road diversions. The stops along these routes will be closed during this period.

Bus Services:

Regular services on most routes from Monday to Thursday: 4:30 am to 12:30 am (next day).

Fridays: 5:00 am to 12:30 am (next day).

Saturdays to Sundays: 6:00 am to 1:00 am (next day).

Metro link bus services will align with metro operating times and trips.

Intercity Bus Routes:

Bus Route (E100) redirected to Abu Dhabi from Ibn Battuta Bus Station.

Bus Route (E102) redirected to Musaffah Community ONLY from December 1st to 4th.

Other routes operate normally.

Marine Transport:

Water Bus, Water Taxi, Dubai Ferry, and Abras will have specific operating hours on different routes.

Customers must book Water Taxi in advance.

Public Parking:

Free public parking during Union Day holiday (except multi-level parking terminals) from December 2nd to December 4th.

Regular parking fees resume on December 5th, 2023.
