Toyota Pakistan Introduces First Locally Made Hybrid Corolla Cross in Pakistan
Indus Motor Company, Toyota’s partner in Pakistan, just revealed the first locally-made hybrid car in the country, the Toyota Corolla Cross HEV.
This new car, introduced at IMC’s Karachi plant, comes as a response to the growing demand in Pakistan for cars that save fuel and are eco-friendly. The Corolla Cross HEV lets buyers choose between an 1800 cc engine with a hybrid or gasoline setup.
To make this happen, Indus Motor Company invested over $100 million to set up the production line, showing their commitment to boosting the car industry in Pakistan and supporting global efforts for greener transportation.
The launch of the Corolla Cross HEV is a big deal for Indus Motor Company and highlights the strong relationship between Japan and Pakistan. The collaboration between the two nations in the car industry has now brought hybrid vehicles to local production, showcasing their technological and economic connection.
