New passport fee structure in Pakistan February 2024 update

The Pakistani government issues passports to its citizens to ease their travels and ensure their safety abroad. A valid Pakistani passport holder is entitled to the protection of Pakistan’s diplomatic and consular representatives in any foreign country.

The passport serves as the primary identification document for citizens in foreign nations.

The Directorate General of Immigration & Passports, operating under the Ministry of Interior, is responsible for processing passport applications and issuing passports based on specified requirements.

For those residing in Pakistan, the Regional Passport Office is the designated place to apply for a new passport.

The application process at Regional Passport Offices involves several steps, including arrival at the Customer Service Counter, fee verification, photograph capture, biometrics/fingerprints capture, data entry, verification based on office records, an interview with an Assistant Director, and finally, passport collection.

The fee structure for obtaining a new passport is as follows:

Arrival at the Customer Service Counter.
Fee Verification + Photograph Capture + Token Issuance.
Biometrics/Fingerprints Capture.
Data Entry.
Verification based on Office Records (ECL/BL).
