NADRA is responsible for issuing National Identity Cards for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP) to Pakistanis living abroad. Any Pakistani citizen can apply for NICOP, which allows visa-free travel to Pakistan for dual nationals. When applying for a NICOP for newborns born abroad, a passport number is required.
Where to Apply for NICOP: You can apply for NICOP either by visiting a NADRA Registration Center (NRC) or through the Pak-Identity website.
NADRA Registration Center (NRC): Visit your nearest NADRA Registration Center. Steps at the NRC:
- Receive a token.
- Have your photo taken.
- Provide fingerprints and signature.
- Enter required data and review the printed form.
- Receive a printed copy of your application form.
Pak Identity Website: Apply for Smart National Identity Card for Overseas Pakistanis (SNICOP) on the Pak Identity website and get it delivered to your doorstep.
New NICOP Fees for Malaysia in Pakistan (April 2024): The regular fee for a new NICOP in Pakistan is Rs5,820, while the urgent fee is Rs8,730, and the executive fee is Rs11,640. Online fees: Normal fee: $20 Urgent fee: $30 Executive fee: $40.
