Ghee, Cooking Oil Prices increased after Budget 2025; Check new rates
ISLAMABAD: The prices of ghee and cooking oil have seen a notable decline recently. According to Daily Pakistan Global, the prices of Brand A and Brand B cooking oil and ghee have dropped by Rs 70 to 75 in the past month.
Specifically, Brand A oil is now cheaper by Rs 75 per liter, priced at Rs 525, while Brand A ghee has decreased by Rs 25 per kilogram, also selling at Rs 525. Similarly, Brand B ghee and oil are now available at Rs 380 per liter after a Rs 70 reduction.
Despite these price reductions, the State Bank of Pakistan‘s semi-annual economic review report forecasts a high inflation rate of 23 to 25 percent for the current financial year.
However, there is an optimistic outlook as the inflation rate is expected to decrease significantly, potentially reaching just 5 to 7 percent by September 2025 if the current trend continues.
The decrease in ghee and cooking oil prices offers some relief to consumers amidst the broader context of economic challenges and high inflation.
