Airline Ticket Prices: The federal government has increased excise duties on business and club class air tickets for several international destinations starting July 1, as part of the approved budget for the fiscal year 2024-25.

The duties on flights to the USA, North America, Latin America, and Canada have increased from Rs250,000 to Rs350,000, which is a Rs100,000 increase. Similarly, the duties on tickets to European destinations have gone up from Rs150,000 to Rs210,000, an increase of Rs60,000.

Flights to New Zealand, Australia, China, Malaysia, and Indonesia are also affected, with duties increasing by Rs60,000 to a new total of Rs210,000.

The fees for flights to Saudi Arabia, the UAE, the Middle East, and African countries have increased from Rs75,000 to Rs105,000, which is a rise of Rs30,000.
