Cooking oil production rises, Banaspati Ghee falls in Pakistan

An increase in the local production of cooking oil and a decrease in the production of banaspati ghee have been recorded during the current financial year.

According to the monthly report issued by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, in the first 10 months of the current financial year, the production of cooking oil was recorded at 528,209 metric tons, which is 15.68% more than the same period of the previous financial year.

Last year, during the same period, the production of cooking oil was 456,612 metric tons.

In contrast, the production of banaspati ghee in the first 10 months of the current financial year was 1,240,770 metric tons, marking a 4.08% decrease compared to the same period of the previous financial year.

During the same period last year, the production of banaspati ghee was 1,293,543 metric tons.
