
Budget FY2025-26 to present on June 10
PESHAWAR – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to raise the salaries of its employees to help them cope with inflation.
In the budget for fiscal year 2024 25, the provincial government had announced 10% increase for all employees.
The government has decided to increase the salaries of employees in grades 1 to 16 by 25%, following the federal government’s approval of the raise.
Similarly, the employees of Grade 17 and above will get20% increase. Additionally, pensions will be increased by a further 10%.
KP Finance Advisor Muzammil Aslam said in a video that the federal government has raised salaries by 25% for employees in Grades 1 to 16 and by 20% for those in Grade 17 and above. Pensions are also going up by 15%.
Now the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Cabinet has also approved increases in salaries and pensions following the federal government’s pattern, he announced
He mentioned that the formal notification for additional increases in salaries will be issued soon. These increases will impose an additional burden of Rs75 to 80 billion on the provincial treasury.
How Much Increment announced for KP Employees in Salaries?
The KP government has raised salaries by 25% for employees in Grades 1 to 16, and by 20% for those in Grade 17 and higher.
