Suzuki Cultus, Bolan lifetime token tax fee update for July 2024
The Punjab government has implemented an increase in the token tax for vehicles such as Suzuki Cultus and Bolan, effective July 1, 2024, following the approval of the Budget for the fiscal year 2024–25.
The new policy mandates a lifetime token tax hike of Rs5,000 for cars with an engine capacity of 1000 cc. Additionally, vehicles above 1000 cc will now have their token tax determined based on their invoice price, shifting from the previous basis of engine capacity. The Excise and Taxation Department in Punjab oversees the collection of these taxes.
The Suzuki Bolan features advanced Euro-II technology, enhancing its environmental friendliness. Known for its efficient engine performance and low fuel consumption, the vehicle offers economical maintenance, contributing to cost savings.
Externally, the Suzuki Bolan sports a boxy design with square headlights, a rectangular black grille integrated into the bumper, and is priced at Rs 1,940,000.
The new Suzuki Cultus incorporates progressive technology tailored for modern needs, including an auto-gear shift for effortless driving. Its stylish and aerodynamic design makes it a preferred choice in its class.
The Cultus VXR is priced at Rs3,850,000, the Cultus VXL at Rs4,244,000, and the VXL-AGS at Rs4,546,000.
Both Suzuki Cultus and Bolan, with engine capacities below 1000 cc, will now be subject to a one-time lifetime token tax of Rs20,000, effective July 1, 2024, reflecting an increase of Rs5,000 as per the Budget 2024–25.
