New Direct Flights from Lahore to Tashkent to Begin Soon
KARACHI: Travelers heading to Uzbekistan now have a new direct flight option from Lahore to Tashkent. Uzbekistan’s ambassador to Pakistan, Alisher Tukhtayev, confirmed the launch of these direct flights during a meeting with Senator Irfanul Haque Siddiqui, Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs.
This new air route aims to enhance connectivity between Pakistan and Uzbekistan, with both governments looking to strengthen trade, tourism, and cultural ties. Based on the response to this route, there are plans to expand flight operations to additional major Pakistani cities.
Pakistani officials praised the initiative, highlighting how improved connectivity can create fresh avenues for collaboration.
Both countries are actively enhancing their ties through increased trade, security partnerships, and cultural exchanges. Their historic relationship, rooted in the Silk Road era, is set to benefit further from growing bilateral trade and diplomatic engagement, reinforcing a mutual commitment to cooperation and shared progress.
