Indus Motor halts production for three days
Indus Motor Company (IMC) Limited has announced a temporary shutdown of its production plants for three days due to ongoing supply chain disruptions.
The suspension, which will last from November 27 to November 29, was revealed in an official statement issued by the company to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday.
IMC cited a shortage of raw materials and components as the main reasons behind the closure. The company is currently facing difficulties in sourcing essential parts needed for vehicle production, which has hindered its ability to meet production targets. This shutdown follows a similar one from November 18 to November 20.
The disruptions are part of a broader trend affecting the automotive industry. Manufacturers struggle to secure key supplies amid global supply chain challenges.
IMC has assured that it is working to resolve the issue, but the current situation highlights the difficulties faced by the sector in maintaining production schedules.
