Gold rate in Pakistan on Jan 2 up by Rs1,100 to Rs274,700/tola

The gold rate in Pakistan further increased by Rs1,100 to Rs274,700 per tola in the local market on Thursday (Jan 2).

The price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs943, reaching Rs235,511, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

On Wednesday, the gold price per tola in Pakistan saw an increase of Rs1,000.

Globally, gold prices climbed on Thursday, with APGJSA reporting the international rate at $2,635 per ounce, including a $20 premium, reflecting an $11 increase during the day.

Meanwhile, silver prices remained unchanged at Rs3,350 per tola.
