Saudi airline Flyadeal to start operations in Pakistan
Saudi airline Flyadeal will commence flight operations in Pakistan on February 2, a positive step for Pakistan’s aviation industry, according to reports.
Flyadeal will initially operate flights between Riyadh and Karachi, with additional routes connecting Karachi, Riyadh, and Jeddah. The airline’s inaugural flight to Karachi will be celebrated with a water salute ceremony by airport authorities.
The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has already granted approval for Flyadeal’s operations in Pakistan. Airline sources highlight that these flights will offer convenient and direct travel options for passengers between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
This development comes as Saudi Arabia’s national airline, Saudia, continues to excel in global rankings. According to Cirium’s July 2024 report, Saudia achieved an impressive on-time arrival rate of 88.12% and departure rate of 88.15%, reaffirming its reputation as a leader in the aviation industry.
Saudia managed 16,503 flights across four continents and over 100 destinations, showcasing its operational excellence. Looking to the future, the airline plans to expand its fleet with 103 new aircraft, enhance seating capacity, and increase its global reach. These efforts align with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, aiming to boost tourism and economic growth.
Flyadeal’s entry into Pakistan’s market promises enhanced connectivity and greater convenience for travelers while strengthening ties between the two countries.
