Saudi Arabia updates visa fees for 2025
RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Interior, through its Absher Business platform, has introduced updated fees for various services aimed at establishments.
These changes are particularly relevant for foreign workers, including Pakistanis, who are advised to ensure the timely renewal of their residency permits (Iqamas) to avoid complications.
Under the new fee structure, the cost of extending an exit and reentry visa is now set at SR103.5. Renewing a residency permit (Iqama) or issuing a final exit visa costs SR51.75 and SR70, respectively.
Additionally, the fee for issuing an Iqama remains SR51.75, while requesting an employee report costs SR28.75. Updating expatriates’ passport information is now priced at SR69.
The Absher Business platform clarified on X (formerly Twitter) that these charges are specific to value-added services offered on the platform and are not part of the employer’s annual subscription package.
Separately, the Absher Individuals platform has introduced a new service allowing users to report cases of absconding for individuals holding visitor visas. Five conditions govern the reporting process:
The Saudi government’s efforts to enhance service accessibility and efficiency are evident in these updates, demonstrating its commitment to supporting the expatriate community.
