Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC) has made a significant price increase for its cars in 2024, becoming the first car manufacturer in the country to do so. The base Kia Picanto MT now costs Rs. 3,600,000, up by Rs. 250,000 from its previous price of Rs. 3,350,000. Similarly, the Kia Sportage Alpha has seen a price hike of Rs. 250,000, making it now priced at Rs. 7,550,000 instead of Rs. 7,300,000.
Starting from February 1, 2024, all new customer orders in LMC's system will be delivered at the revised Ex-Factory Price. It's worth noting that LMC has chosen not to increase the prices of other KIA models, such as Picanto AT, Stonic EX+, Sportage FWD, AWD, Sorento, and Carnival.
This price increase comes at a time when customers are finding it challenging to buy new vehicles. Despite this trend, major auto manufacturers are introducing offers to attract buyers. For instance, Kia has recently announced a limited-time cash-back offer on all Sportage variants until February 29, 2024.
