Popular Grammy Awards have been postponed until March due to coronavirus concerns, say organizers.

The mega music event was due to take place on 31st January. It will now take place on 14 March due to the increasing number of Covid-19 cases in Los Angeles and the state of California.

Grammy is an award presented by the Recording Academy to recognize achievements in the music industry. The event features performances by renowned artists and other activities.

This time, Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, and Dua Lipa led the nominations for Grammys 2021.

“Nothing is more important than the health and safety of those in our music community and the hundreds of people who work tirelessly on producing the show,” said a statement from the Recording Academy, which runs the Grammys.

The organization had earlier announced to hold mostly virtual, according to the international news agency. But further details had not been released.

Nominations for the 63rd Annual GRAMMY Awards were announced on Tuesday 24 November 2020, with BTS being recognized in Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their English-language single, “Dynamite.”
