Pakistan Super League (PSL) team Peshawar Zalmi had confirmed the appointment of Turkish actor Esra Bilgiç aka ‘Halime Sultan’ as its goodwill ambassador on February 19 and she later appeared in the team’s song.

Javed Afridi, the owner of Peshawar Zalmi, had hinted last year that Esra Bilgiç would be made the ambassador of Peshawar Zalmi. Cricket and showbiz fans expressed their happiness over Esra’s appointment as the team’s ambassador.

After becoming a part of Peshawar Zalmi, Esra Bilgiç in her social media posts expressed her happiness to be a part of the PSL team in Urdu and was proud to be a part of it.

Esra Bilgiç wrote a sentence in English and Urdu in the caption of the photo she shared of herself.

While her fans were happy she posted in Urdu, some commented on her post saying she should use proper Urdu while mocking her.

Esra Bilgiç wrote in her caption, “From now on, I’m a part of the Zalmi family. So proud to be supporting the team with you. ⚡️💛 اب میں زلمی فیملی کا حصہ ہوں۔ مجھے فخر ہے کہ میں آپ کے ساتھ ٹیم کا ساتھ دوں گی۔. ⚡️💛”

Some people commented on the post saying that this is what happens when someone translates from Google.

Some people were infuriated when Esra Bilgiç was mocked for writing ‘Karun Ga’ instead of ‘Karun Gi’ and reminded those who mocked the Turkish actress that Esra Bilgiç’s first language is not Urdu.

Some also said that people from Peshawar speak like this anyway and her sentence proves that she supports Peshawar Zalmi.

Mahira Khan also congratulated her on being a part of Peshawar Zalmi and representing it.

The sixth season of PSL started on February 20 and this time for Peshawar Zalmi, while Esra Bilgiç is the ambassador, Mahira Khan and Hania Amir are also the ambassadors of the same team.
