The filming of Black Panther 2 has temporarily suspended production until 2022 after Letitia Wright received an onset injury in late August.
According to media reports, the authorities have allowed star, Letitia Wright, to recover from injury with plans to resume the shooting in early 2022. The actress, 28, plays Shuri, the sister of Chadwick Boseman’s King T’Challa.
“Letitia Wright sustained minor injuries today while filming a stunt for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” Marvel had said in a statement.
“She is currently receiving care in a local hospital and is expected to be released soon,” it added.
Wright’s character is expected to take on a larger role in the sequel after Chadwick Boseman, who played the title character in the first part, died of colon cancer in 2020. He was 43.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is scheduled to hit the cinemas on November 11, 2022.
