Australia thrashed Pakistan by five wickets last night in the ICC Men’s Twenty20 World Cup final after Marcus Stoinis and Wade stood unbeaten on 81 runs for the 6th wicket in just 6.3 overs to take their side over the line.
A number of celebrities, politicians and netizens took to their social media handles to hail the Green Shirts throughout the tournament despite losing the semi-final against Australia.
The celebrities are also proud of the Pakistani team and asked them to keep their chins up and come back home as heroes.
Actors including Sana Javed, Mehwish Hayat, Osman Khalid Butt, Asim Azhar and others lauded the overall performance of Pakistan.

Actress Mehwish Hayat posted a video from the Dubai stadium, saying it loud and clear that whether they win or lose, the men in green are loved no matter what.
“Super proud of our boys in green. You played really well throughout the tournament – made us proud and won our hearts! We love you forever. Hamein tumse pyaar hai,” the caption on her post read.

Singer Ali Zafar took to his Twitter to hail team Pakistan. “Proud of our team. They deserve a heroic welcome back. The professionalism and spirit with which they played speaks volumes of what’s coming in the future for Pakistan cricket. Also must say, Australia, that was a hell of a knock and those two sweeps!
