Sarwat Gilani slams toxic relatives for schooling how many kids a couple should have

Sarwat Gilani, who is considered one of the finest actresses of the showbiz industry, recently lashed out at a few relatives for ridiculing the couple when she was expecting her second child.

In a recent interview with host Ahsan Khan, Sarwat Gilani shared a rude incident she had to face amidst her second pregnancy. Expressing her anger, the Churails starlet told, “When I was expecting my second child, one of my relatives jocularly said that we should send a television to your place as you guys are getting bored.”

To which, the host said I did not understand what the comment meant. In reply, the actress elaborated what was the comment for and said, “It meant if you get busy watching TV, you will not get busy in making babies.” “I just did not like that remark,” she said, adding that why is it anybody’s business to ask when I am having babies or when I am getting married.”

She further lashed out to the relevant relatives saying that ‘why is it your concern to decide when and how many babies I am going to have’. “Do I take money from you to nourish my children,” the 38-year-old star questioned sharply.

Moreover, the actress highlighted the cultural stereotypes that usually men are the ones to comment over the number of kids a couple should have.

Sarwat Gilani and Fahad Mirza have been married for six years after dating for a long time and the couple shares two sons together.

Some of Gilani’s acclaimed dramas include Azar Ki Ayegi Baraat, Meri Zaat Zara-e-Benishan, Mata-e-Jaan Hai Tu, Meray Dard Ko Jo Zuban Milay, Koi Nahi Apna, Dil-e-Muztar, Ahista Ahista, Khasara, and many others.

She also made her movie debut in Jawani Phir Nahi Aani and its sequel Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2 to appear for the same role opposite Vasay Chaudhry.

Whereas, Fahad Mirza serves as a cosmetology surgeon. Apart from his profession, his famed dramas include Bari Appa, Shanakht, Main Deewani, and a couple of others.
