BTS, a South Korean boy band, partnered with Coldplay, a British rock band, on the song My Universe.
The song was an instant smash with the BTS ARMY (as the group’s fans are called). The song was so popular that it topped the Billboard Hot 100 list for over 16 weeks in a row.
Fans couldn’t get enough of them and asked that the bands work together again. We don’t know when it’ll happen, but we can tell that BTS made a strong impact on Coldplay’s musicians.
Chris Martin recently talked about his encounter, and he seemed really pleased with himself. They adore BTS, he remarked.
Chris Martin quoted saying on Ellen Show, “We love them. For something that could have seemed so artificial, it turned out to be one of the most real feelings. We genuinely love those people.”
Chris Martin shared his experience in South Korea and called it was ‘cool’ to see the lives of people in South Korea.
He added, “They are a very different kind of band to us. It’s much more disciplined in a certain way.”
Chris Martin also teased that they looked like BTS’ gym teachers. Chris Martin also spoke about approaching albums as a band and more.
He said, “I think we’ll keep touring and we’ll always be together as a group of musicians and friends, but I think the story of our albums ends then. Like Harry Potter finishes at a certain point.”
