For the first time, Ed Sheeran and Camila Cabello performed their collaboration ‘Bam Bam’ at the ‘Concert For Ukraine’ tonight (March 29).

The two performed the song, which was written by Cabello, Sheeran, and Reed and produced by Ricky Reed, Edgar Barrera, and Cheche Alara, at Birmingham’s Resorts World Arena.

It’s from her upcoming new album ‘Familia,’ which will be released on April 8; you can see the video here.

Cabello paid honour to the victims of the Ukraine war before introducing Sheeran.

“We’re all praying for the peace and safety of the people of Ukraine tonight.” “Thank you so much for being a part of this critical fundraising,” she stated.

“I’ve got a surprise in store for you tonight.” This is the first time I and this individual have sang this song together. Everyone applauds Ed Sheeran.”

Earlier, Cabello sang Coldplay’s 2005 smash single ‘Fix You,’ while Sheeran played a two-song performance that included ‘Perfect’ and an acoustic rendition of his Number One hit ‘Bad Habits.’

Antytila, a Ukrainian band, was notified earlier this week that they would be unable to perform at a benefit event for their nation because they are “only able to focus on the humanitarian situation.”

Following the announcement of the event, Antytila members — who are presently fighting the Russians in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv – sent Sheeran a video message via Facebook, requesting to play remotely from their home country.

“I just viewed your video this morning, thank you very much for sending it,” the ‘Bad Habits’ hitmaker said to the band. First and foremost, I’d want to express my gratitude to all Ukrainians by saying, “I love you, I stand with you, and I’m very excited to be playing this fundraiser event next week.”

“It’s amazing that someone like Ed Sheeran can help disseminate the idea that we are strong but that Ukraine’s refugees need aid,” vocalist Taras Topolia told NME after they were told they couldn’t play. We decided to make that film to show everyone that we are from Kyiv, that we are powerful, and that we would not be defeated. That was the main message.”

He continued: “Ed Sheeran got back to us, and that was a big pleasure for us. Our wives and children are not in Kyiv anymore. They are in western Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and the United States – so it’s very important for us to understand that the European and Western people are standing for us.”

Other performers on the concert were Ukraine Eurovision winner Jamala, Anne Marie, Snow Patrol, Manic Street Preachers, Gregory Porter, and Nile Rodgers and Chic.

The two-hour benefit concert will help the Disasters Emergency Committee’s (DEC) Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.

ITV will give to the DEC fund all sponsorship and advertising money produced by the event’s broadcast, which is projected to collect more than £3 million.
