
American actor Bruce Willis’s family announced that actor has been diagnosed with medical condition call Aphasia, though many of his fans won’t know about such diagnosis.
Actor Bruce Wills have been diagnosed with medical condition and after diagnoses his family revealed he will be stepping away from his career.
This news was announced by social media yesterday, by quoting “it has been really challenging time and his health issues have affected his cognitive abilities.”
67 year actor who is always been known for the role of John McClane in the Die Hard franchise, Aphasia is typically caused by damage to the left side of the brain like stoke and often disturb language or speech.
According to NHS, people experiencing this condition can have difficulty with reading, listening, speaking and writing though mostly it affect speech issues, it states, “Speaking problems are perhaps the most obvious, and people with aphasia may make mistakes with words they use, however it doesn’t affect their intelligence.”
The condition caused by damage to parts of the brain responsible for understanding and producing the language. There are several possible causes of such.
NHS notes that most common cause of aphasia is a stroke, though it can also be brought on by severe head injury, a brain tumor and neurological conditions. “It can affect people of all ages though typically is seen in those over the age of 65, with the main form of treatment for the condition being speech and language therapy and the success of such therapy can depend on the cause of aphasia, with most of those who have it following a stroke able to recover to some degree with treatment.”
