Megan Barton-Hanson was terrified after a hotel brawl with on-again, off-again boyfriend James Lock

Megan had a date with another reality TV star just hours before the fight at the same club where Towie cast member James, 35, was also partying.

“Megan was shocked,” a source said. Everything was very aggressive.

“The hotel door was kicked at one point.” There was a great deal of yelling.

“This occurred in broad daylight in a busy hotel.” It was quite dramatic, and Megan’s hotel door was damaged as a result of the commotion.

“It appears that James was assigned her room number.

“There is some speculation that staff were shown photos of the couple together and that he was given a room key.”

On Friday morning, the drama unfolded at the £350-a-night Courthouse Hotel, close to Oxford Street in Central London.

Shortly after workers dialled 911, police were seen arriving outside.

Megan is thought to have left the hotel before the cops arrived.

Megan shared pictures of her night out on social media after her date.

During the evening, she and James went to the nearby nightclub Bagatelle separately.

Megan was accompanied by a mystery blonde, while James was accompanied by Life On Marbs star Adam Graham, 31.

Prior to the incident, James was seen at the hotel with another reality star, Nathan Henry from Geordie Shore.

Last year, Megan, James, and Nathan, all 31, appeared on MTV’s Ex On The Beach.

According to a hotel source, “Megan was horrified and dialled reception to request that the police be called.”

“It was around 10.30 a.m., so the hotel was busy.” It was terrifying because he was escorted out and he is a big guy.

“It’s not nice for guests to see that, and naturally, people were shaken afterwards.”

“We’ve all been told to keep an eye out for room cards from now on.”

“The hotel is for guests only. Security is in place to allow only those who have booked rooms access to the venue.”

Megan is said to have given police a statement following the incident.

Megan and James were first linked in October of last year, after the two filmed Ex On The Beach together in Gran Canaria. But they’ve been on and off since then.

They shared photos of a cake shaped like a pair of boobs for her birthday earlier this month. However, it was reported last week that they had split up again.

Last year, she opened up about her relationship with James, saying, “He’s not really this character that I… well, I used to watch Towie back in the day when he was the bad boy.”

“He’s very down-to-earth.” He’s a breeze to talk to. He’s very intelligent, which you don’t often see on TV, but we’re having a great time.

He’s truly opened my eyes, and we’ve spent a lot of time together.

“He’s really taken me by surprise. I didn’t expect him to be like that.

“When people see us, they think, ‘Oh my god, I’m such a strong feminist, and he’s a proper alpha male.'” There’s no way we’d get along.’

“But I guess — for someone who has been judged so harshly because of my career choice in the sex work industry and how I was portrayed on Love Island — it was a big reality check, like, ‘Meg, you’ve been judged.'”

Megan, who appeared on Love Island in 2018, was previously linked to former co-star Wes Nelson, 24, Towie’s Demi Sims, 25, and footballer Chelcee Grimes, 29.

James, who joined Towie nine years ago, was chastised in 2018 by domestic abuse charity Women’s Aid for his aggressive on-screen behaviour toward ex-girlfriend Yazmin Oukhellou, 27.

Because of his actions, there were calls for ITV bosses to fire him from the show at the time.

He’s also dated Towie co-stars Danielle Armstrong, 33, and Abigail Clarke, 30. He also appeared on E4’s Celebs Go Dating two years ago.

Last year, he apologised for flaunting his glamorous lifestyle in Dubai, as did many other influencers, during the UK’s lockdown.

“I hold my hands up, I have been insensitive at times,” he admitted. I should have been more considerate of the people who are struggling at home.”
