It’s been more than a decade since people all around the world tuned in to watch Prince William marry his university love Kate Middleton on April 29, 2011 in London’s Westminster Abbey.

Even still, it’s difficult to forget how beautiful the now-Duchess of Cambridge looked as she went down the aisle in her Alexander McQueen satin gown.

Around eight years after their romance began, Prince William gazed on with love in his eyes as he saw his wife make her way to the alter.

He was understandably worried, but as soon as he saw Kate and his father-in-law, Michael Middleton, enter the abbey, his uneasiness converted to a wide grin.

When she arrived at the alter, Prince William could be seen uttering a few words to his wife, before turning to her father and telling something with a huge grin on his face.

Professional lip reader Tina Lannin, who was born deaf, has since revealed what the Duke said to Duchess, as well as a cheeky joke made to his new in-law.

William is said to have told Kate: “You look lovely. You look beautiful,” before turning to Michael, seemingly unfazed by the huge fanfare of the event.

Following the ceremony, William and Kate exited the abbey and rode in a carriage to greet well-wishers.

William commented throughout the ride: “I’m hoping I recall… It’s insane, it’s insane! “Oh my gosh, it’s extremely noisy here,” Kate says later, adding, “You seem happy.””

The newlyweds then made their way to Buckingham Palace’s balcony, where they were joined by the rest of the royal family and the Middletons to wave to the people.

“Oh wow,” Kate said as she stepped onto the balcony.

Prince William then turned to Kate for the famed balcony kiss, a custom initiated at William’s parents’ wedding by Prince Charles and Diana, while saying: “Is that correct? Take a look at me, and let’s kiss, okay?”
