RRR grabs 350 crores on its first weekend

RRR earned a little over Rs. 350 crores in its first weekend.The period action-drama directed by S.S. Rajamouli and starring Ram Charan and NTR Jr. grossed about Rs. 348 crores in its first three days, making it the second-biggest opening weekend in Indian cinema history, just behind Baahubali: The Conclusion (Rs. 358.20 crores).

Saaho (slightly over Rs. 200 crores) is in third place on the weekend box office leaderboard, with two films grossing over or under Rs. 350 crores.

Sunday receipts increased significantly in the Hindi belt and Kerala, with a 15% increase in Tamil Nadu over Saturday.

Karnataka has been constant, which is fortunate because there is always the potential of a drop, especially on Sundays when Bengaluru’s nightlife suffers.
