Watch: ‘I learned a lot,’ Sandra Bullock says of why she isn’t on social media

Sandra Bullock, unlike her peers, is not engaged on social media, owing to the fact that her film was released in 1995.

When asked why she isn’t on social media like other celebs, the Speed actress joked that it’s due of her role in the movie The Net, according to the presenter of SiriusXM’s The Jess Cagle Show.

“I learned a lot,” the 57-year-old replied jokingly.

Sharing her experience, The Blind Side star stated, “We met real hackers and I remember people going, ‘Does that exist? Do you think we could actually order a pizza from your computer?’ And I was like, ‘Yes.’”

For the uninitiated, Bullock plays Angela Bennett, a systems analyst for a software corporation, in the film The Net. The protagonist in the film exposes a government plot while also attempting to prevent her identity from being fully erased.

In a 2018 interview with InStyle, the Unforgivable star explained that she has never felt pressured to join social media.

The Oscar winner replied, “I am not ignorant of what’s happening out there. I look over people’s shoulders, going, ‘What is that little vignette of a cat on a fan?”

“I am just lazy. But I am going to get on it and troll my friends. Once my kids are using it, I will know how to navigate it. I don’t want to be naïve,” she added.

Sandra Bullock is presently starring in The Lost City alongside Channing Tatum and Daniel Radcliffe.
