Kylie Jenner has access to cutting-edge medical technology. However, her gym features one high-end item that costs a hefty fortune.
Jenner, 24, owns the TheraLight 360, a $78,000 full-body red and near-infrared light therapy bed.
Jenner’s phone was evident in the background of a video she shared on Tuesday about her postpartum troubles.
In a later photo on her Instagram Stories, she appeared to be enjoying a session, with the pod lit up in red.
‘Red light therapy,’ she posted in cursive font.
Red light therapy, according to Da Vinci Medical, ‘is the use of clinically-determined wavelengths of red and near-infrared light to increase circulation and the synthesis of cellular energy.
‘The natural metabolic processes enhanced by red light therapy help reduce the damaging effects of oxidative stress. Oxidative stress, or an influx of free radicals in the body, has been linked to wrinkles as well as more serious diseases like diabetes and cancer.
‘Red light therapy helps promote the body’s natural processes for metabolizing free radicals, minimizing the damage they cause.’
The pod stood out in a video Kylie made in which she talked about the difficulties she’s been having since giving birth to her second child, Wolf Webster, with boyfriend Travis Scott.
Kylie Jenner has been gently re-entering social media after taking a sabbatical following the birth of Wolf on February 2 and ahead of her family’s major comeback to television with The Kardashians premiere on Hulu on April 14.
Kylie took a break from her workout to speak with her followers on the realities of postpartum mental health difficulties.
‘I just want to say to my postpartum moms that postpartum has not been easy. It’s not been easy, it’s very hard,’ Kylie, who also has four-year-old daughter Stormi with Travis, said in her stories. ‘This experience for me, personally, has been a little harder than with my daughter.’
She added: ‘It’s not easy mentally, physically, spiritually … it’s just crazy. I didn’t want to just get back to life without saying that because I think we can look on the Internet and for other moms going through it right now, we can go on the Internet and it might look a lot easier for other people and, like, the pressure on us, but it hasn’t been easy for me.
‘It’s been hard. And I just wanted to say that. I didn’t even think I’d make it to this work out today, but I’m here and I’m feeling better, so you’ve got this.’
‘And, it’s OK not to be OK,’ she said. ‘Once I realized that, I was putting some pressure on myself, and I just keep reminding myself, I made a whole human.’
‘A beautiful healthy boy, and we have to stop putting pressure on ourselves to be back – not even physically, just mentally after birth. So ya, just sending some love. I love you guys.’
