Where The Crawdads Sing’s new trailer is out now

Daisy Edgar-Jones stars as a young woman who becomes the lead suspect in a murder in a new trailer for Where The Crawdads Sing. Where the Crawdads Sing, based on Delia Owens’ New York Times best-selling novel of the same name, will star Edgar-Jones as Kya Clark, who has grown up alone and self-sufficient.

The hot-off-the-press first look, however, contains an original song written by none other than Taylor Swift. Adding yet another name to the big feature, which is backed by Reese Witherspoon and her Hello Sunshine productions, as well as 3000 Pictures. Olivia Newman directed the highly anticipated film. While Lucy Alibar wrote the script, with the plot likely to follow the same path as the 2018 novel.

The first Where The Crawdads Sing trailer has just been published, and it gives us our first look at Edgar-Jones as Kya. The teaser depicts Kya as a child before showing her as an adult, alluding to the trauma she had as a child, which led to her years of solitude. Before disclosing the circumstances of the horrible crime, a series of videos teases Kya’s relationships with Tate and Chase. The teaser also features Taylor Swift’s original song “Carolina,” which was inspired by the film’s setting in North Carolina. Take a look:
