The Academy and several other celebrities, including Zoe Kravitz and Jim Carrey, have defended Will Smith.

Jada Pinkett Smith returned to her Red Table Talk, and while she stated that her family is ‘healing’ following the Will Smith-Chris Rock slap scandal, Smith stated that the topic will not be discussed on the show for the time being. It’s been about a month since the Oscars 2022 took place.

Will struck Chris for making a joke about Jada’s hair loss problem, turning a night to celebrate movies into a controversy. What many assumed was a staged performance turned out to be a genuine event. After seeing it, both the attendees and the spectators were astounded. On the same night, the actor won his first Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in Pursuit of Happyness.

Will took to social media shortly after the incident to publicly apologize to Chris Rock, who has yet to speak about it. Things took a turn for the worst when Jada allegedly stated that she did not want Will to slap Rock.
