Ajay Devgn on Amitabh Bachchan’s Runway 34 dedication

Runway 34, Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh’s movie, is about to hit theatres. Amitabh Bachchan, Boman Irani, Angira Dhar, and Aakanksha Singh also star. Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet praised Amitabh Bachchan’s dedication in a new interview.

Ajay Devgn told ETimes. “It’s not just inspirational. It’s unbelievable. At his age, to have that kind of dedication and that kind of passion for work is phenomenal. When he’s on set, he doesn’t move out, he doesn’t go and rest. If you tell him to please go to the van, he refuses. You call him at 11 am and he will arrive at 9 and then the whole unit is under pressure. But it’s lovely to have him around.”

The actor added that Big B has always been like that and that his presence energises the entire team and environment.

Rakul Preet said she was surprised on the first day of shooting. She said they shot a segment for ten days and Amitabh Bachchan knew his dialogues the whole time, which stunned her. She was awestruck by his method and dedication.

Runway 34 is Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh’s second collaboration. They appeared in the 2019 romantic comedy De De Pyaar De, which also starred Tabu. This year’s Eid, April 29, is the film’s release date.
