Andrew Garfield splits from model girlfriend Alyssa Miller

Andrew Garfield and his model girlfriend Alyssa Miller have broken up because they couldn’t see each other during award season.

The Sports Illustrated model, 32, has been seeing the Brit since last autumn, but she has been noticeably absent in recent weeks.

They walked the red carpet together at the SAG Awards in February, but he was alone for the Oscars on Sunday, when he lost to Will Smith, 53, for Best Actor for Tick, Tick… Boom!

“Andrew and Alyssa were a really lovely pair, and things were going great at first,” an insider added.

“They had been dating for a long time before going public, but job schedules have made it difficult for them to see each other.”

“On top of that, it became evident that they had certain issues, and it was determined that they would be better off apart, at least for the time being.”

“It was unfortunate for Andrew because he would have liked to experience the thrill of award season with someone he cared about, but it simply wasn’t meant to be.”

“After a frantic few months, he’s keeping his chin up and enjoying some time for himself.”

The couple’s representatives declined to comment.

Alyssa previously dated Jake Gyllenhaal, 41, in 2014, while Andrew’s ex-girlfriends include Emma Stone, 33, and Rita Ora, 31.
