Asim Azhar’s soulful ‘Durood O’ Salam’ for fans

During Ramadan, Asim Azhar released a soulful compilation of Durood O’ Salam. Naveed Nashad produced and arranged the Pakistani heartthrob’s latest release, which he shared on Instagram.

He wrote the caption of the video, “Aik choti si koshish (a small effort).. I grew up listening to these Durood O’ Salam from my mother & grandmother & wanted to present this to you guys with all the love for Almighty & our Holy Prophet (SAW) (full video link in my bio).”

The recently released video, directed by Bilawal Hussain Abbasi, has already gotten a huge response on YouTube.

The Durood O’ Salam features a choir of Surtaal Music Academy students. The academy thanked Azhar for “giving this opportunity” to the young talent.

Azar is the latest Pakistani singer to release a devotional track or religious Kalam, following Atif Aslam’s Tajdar-e-Haram and Wohi Khuda Hai, and Abida Parveen and Ali Sethi’s Aaqa.
