Avril Lavigne’s engagement with Mod Sun after romantic proposal

Canadian star Avril Lavigne announced her engagement with fellow singer Mod Sun.

Star told in her Instagram account that the American rocker asked the question in Paris during a romantic boat ride down the River Seine.

She posted bundles of photos and videos from the proposal which showed Mod Sun, down on one knee with the Eiffel Tower in the background.

Other image showed Lavigne with a heart-shaped diamond ring.

Her fiancé commented on her post: “I love u so much! Forever n ever my angel.”

Their friends and fans also wished the couple, producer John Feldmann, who has also worked on their latest collaboration album, & Kourtney Kardashian both sharing heart emojis.

Singer Nessa Barrett said “CONGRATS love u guys”, whereas singer Pixie Lott added heart eye emojis.

Both started dating while collaborating on her recent released break-up album Love Sux.

Mod shared a bundles of pictures and videos from the proposal to his Instagram with an emotional note while saying he knew she was the one early on.

Mod wrote: “The day we met I knew you were the one. Together forever til our days are done.”

Speaking about the special moment, Avril said: “It was the most perfect, romantic proposal I could ever ask for.”

She added, “We were in Paris on a boat in the Seine River. We had a violin player, champagne and roses. It felt like time stood still, and it was just the two of us in the moment.”

She also told that Mod knew she had wanted a heart-shaped ring as on the day they met they were both wearing matching rings in that design.

Star added that the ring also has the word “Hi Icon” engraved in it because these were the first words Sun said to her.

She elaborate that they had a “very strong unstoppable connection” and from very first week of meeting they began writing and working in the studio together on her latest album.

About their future, she said: “I look forward to having fun, creating, working together, touring together, and growing together.

“It feels good to have someone who can help celebrate the good times, hold you through the tough ones, and be there for all the moments in between.”
