Jamal passed away after sudden illness, with his mother taking a break from work to focus on her family.
It has been confirmed that an interview with Brenda will air on the ITV program today, with the panelist joining her fellow co-stars on the panel for Tuesday’s show.
Today’s interview with Coleen Nolan will mark the first time Brenda has spoken about losing her son since his death.
In a preview clip, she shared her wish to get back to the show.
She told Coleen, ‘It has been great, having the ladies there,’ ‘That is something that has been a big part of my life and the kids’ lives. I need to return.’
Brenda confirmed news of her son’s death in a statement shared with Good Morning Britain.
She wrote, ‘It is with the deepest heartache that I confirm that my beautiful son Jamal Edwards passed away yesterday morning after a sudden illness,’
‘Myself, his sister Tanisha, and the rest of his family and friends are completely devastated. He was the Centre of our world.
‘As we come to terms with his passing, we ask for privacy to grieve this unimaginable loss. I would like to thank everyone for their messages of love and support.
‘Jamal was an inspiration to myself and so many. Our love for him lives on, his legacy lives on. Long live Jamal Edwards MBE, MBA, PhD.’
