Oscar winning Hollywood Star Brie Larson will join the cast of billion-dollar franchise “Fast and Furious” according to Vin Diesel.
Vin Diesel, the franchise’s star and producer, confirmed Brie Larson’s addition to the cast of “Fast and Furious 10” on Instagram on Saturday night.
“Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, when you see this angel laughing at me over my shoulder, you think to yourself, “That’s Captain Marvel.” The actor captioned a selfie with Larson, “Clearly there is love and joy in this photograph.”
“What you don’t see, though,” he said, “is the character you’ll meet in Fast10.”
Fans will “no clue how timeless and great” Larson, 32, will be in the film, according to Diesel, 54.
“Her intelligence, in addition to her attractiveness… He said, “Her Oscar, LOL, is this profound soul who will offer something you might not have imagined but craved for.”
“Welcome to the FAMILY, Brie.”
The “Captain Marvel” actress, who won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in 2015’s “Room,” isn’t the first Oscar winner to appear in a “Fast and Furious” film. Charlize Theron and Helen Mirren starred in the films “Fate of the Furious” and “F9,” respectively.
Larson’s casting news comes only one month after it was reported that Jason Momoa will portray the villain in the tenth chapter of “Fast and Furious.”
“It’s great because I get to play the evil guy, which I haven’t done in a long time,” the 42-year-old “Aquaman” star told “Entertainment Tonight” in March. “Now I get to be the bad boy.” A flashy bad guy. “Some sass!”
