Cole Sprouse termed childhood fame as ‘trauma’

In an interview, Cole Sprouse described fame as “trauma.” Calling criticism of young performers who are alleged to have spiralled “out of control.” Sprouse rose to fame on the Disney show The Suite Life of Zack and Cody with his twin brother Dylan. Who, remarked that it’s impossible to walk out of childhood celebrity “unharmed.”

“Oh, you made it out!” people would say to my brother and me all the time. Oh, you’ve escaped with your life!  Sprouse stated, “No.” Comparing his experience to that of young Disney Channel girls is unjust. “There’s no way my brother and I could compare our experiences because the young women on the channel who were watching [Disney Channel] were extensively sexualized from such an early age.” And each and every person who has been through that trauma has had a unique experience. When it comes to kid stars going insane. “What we’re not talking about when we talk about child stars going insane is how fame is a trauma,” he remarked.
