Jennifer Lopez has openly spoken up about her love and emotions for Ben Affleck

Jennifer Lopez, who announced her engagement to Ben Affleck in February, 18 years after they ended their first relationship, talked about their romance with the partner, adding, “It’s a lovely love tale that we got a second chance.”

In an interview with People, the 52-year-old spoke about her rekindled romance with Affleck.

“We got a second opportunity,” she remarked, “and it’s a lovely love story.”

Lopez’s newsletter, “On The JLo,” included a video of Lopez looking sentimental and admiring a green ring on Saturday. Her agents subsequently informed People magazine of the engagement news.

The ring was described as an emerald-cut light green diamond by US media.

When photographs of the pair together resurfaced last year, the internet was ablaze with “Bennifer,” the couple’s nickname from their previous widely known relationship.

In 2002, they met on the filming of the critically criticised film “Gigli.” They postponed their wedding in 2003, then declared in early 2004 that their romance was finished.

Lopez will marry for the fourth time, while actor and director Affleck, 49, will marry for the second time.

Lopez has 14-year-old twins Max and Emme with her past husbands, actress Ojani Noa, dancer Cris Judd, and singer Marc Anthony.

Violet, 16, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10, are Affleck’s children from his marriage to actress Jennifer Garner.
