Karan Johar makes fun of his look at Ranbir and Alia’s wedding

Karan Johar considers Alia Bhatt to be his godchild and acted as an emotional father when she married Ranbir Kapoor on Thursday. He even wrote a card for the couple in which he referred to Ranbir as his “son-in-law.”
On Friday, the filmmaker uploaded photos of himself in his customary pink wedding gown as well as the yellow kurta he wore for the couple’s mehendi ceremony. He also penned a poem to accompany them.

Karan wrote, “Shaadi Tayaar … dil me bahut saara pyaar … dhal gayee jawaani … but mid life crisis hai to pehen liya Manish Malhotra ki sheravani! Chand Jaisi Alia Raaja humare RK! Rab ne bana di jodi woh bhi saj dhaj ke (Wedding ready, a lot of love in my heart, the days of youth are gone but since I am in a mid-life crisis, so I chose to wear a sherwani by Manish Malhotra. Alia is like a moon and Ranbir is like a king, this union is made by god himself).”

Karan had previously shared Alia and Ranbir’s wedding photos on Instagram with a note. He addressed Ranbir as his son-in-law in his letter, which was accompanied by a photo of the couple’s wedding.
“It’s days like this that we live for …where there is the most beautiful blend of family, love and absolute emotion….. overwhelmed and so full of love in my heart… my darling @aliaabhatt this is such a beautiful life step and my love and blessings go with you everywhere … Ranbir! I love you… now and forever! You are now my son in law …badhai ho (congratulations) and here’s to decades of khushiyaan (happiness).”

Alia and Ranbir married in Badra, Vastu, at Ranbir’s home. Only close family members and friends from both sides of the family attended the wedding.
“Today, surrounded by our family and friends, at home … in our favourite spot – the balcony we’ve spent the last 5 years of our relationship – we got married. With so much already behind us, we can’t wait to build more memories together … memories that are full of love, laughter, comfortable silences, movie nights, silly fights, wine delights and Chinese bites.”
“Thank you for all the love and light during this very momentous time in our lives. It has made this moment all the more special,” the Gangubai starlet wrote along with her wedding pictures on Instgaram.
