Meghan Markle set to join Invictus Games in Hague with Prince Harry by Netflix

A Netflix documentary crew is expected to follow the Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during the Games, which begin next Saturday. According to the Mirror, a source said: “Meghan is excited to travel with Harry for the event, which is certainly close to his heart.”

Insiders said Meghan could walk out on stage with Harry at the opening ceremony, promising “a great surprise to kick off the celebration.”

Heart of Invictus, a Netflix show about the Games, was originally revealed by the Sussexes.

Following criticism for missing Prince Philip’s memorial ceremony last week, Harry is planning a trip to the Netherlands.

The Duke of Edinburgh did not travel from the United States to the United Kingdom for the celebration at Westminster Abbey.

It comes as he is locked in a legal battle with the Home Office over his family’s police protection while in the UK.

But Ken Wharfe, a former royal protection officer, said: “I’m baffled about why Harry thinks he would be safer in the Netherlands than the UK.

“He would have travelled to his grandfather’s memorial service with his brother or father and received protection from the Met.

“It’s not like he would have been turning up at Westminster Abbey on a bike. It is more of a risk to go to Holland to support a charity with a military link than coming to London last week.”

It should be noted that, the Sussexes are living in California after ending royal duties in March 2020.
