Prince Charles to step down and hand over the throne to Prince William
After Queen Elizabeth’s death, Prince Charles is urged to hand over the throne to Prince William.
While the 95-year-old monarch is weak and preparing to celebrate her Platinum Jubilee, Britons are rooting for the Duke of Cambridge to succeed her as King.
According to the Ipsos poll, 42 percent of 2,055 British people believe William should be the next monarch.
24 percent want the order to be followed and Charles to do the honors, while 29 percent are undecided.
When asked if Charles will do a good job, 48 percent said yes, while the remaining 19 percent said no. He will perform neither a good nor a bad job, according to 27% of those polled.
The Prince of Wales, on the other hand, has had wonderful luck, as his popularity has increased by 11% during 2018 and now stands at 43%.
While Charles is slowly gaining popularity among Britons, his son Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are in trouble.
According to the research, 30% of people admire Harry – down 35 percentage points from last year – while only 24% think highly of Meghan, down 16 points.
