
Hollywood star Salma Hayek is joining the cast of Channing Tatum’s new ‘Sorcery Mike’ spin-off, supplanting unique female lead Thandiwe Newton.
“Thandiwe Newton has settled on the tough decision to pull back from the development of Warner Bros. Pictures’ ‘Wizardry Mike’s Last Dance’ to manage family matters,” a representative for the studio told ‘Assortment’.
The film is being made solely for HBO Max. Reid Carolin, who composed the initial two films, is returning as screenwriter. The movie’s unique chief Steven Soderbergh is once again in charge. The third portion is supposed to wrap a bow on the set of three.
Creation just started in the UK ‘Sorcery Mike XXL’ chief Gregory Jacobs is delivering with Carolin, Nick Wechsler and Peter Kiernan.
In his February cover interview with ‘Assortment’, Tatum and Carolin indicated that the lead female job would be pivotal to the spin-off’s plot.
“It’s truly about a lady stuck at a terrible strip show like a Chippendales and afterward understanding, ‘Why in blazes am I here?'” Carolin said at that point.
“And afterward Magic Mike descends from the roof. She will go down the deep, dark hole and inquires: What do I truly care about?”
Tatum added that the person is “truly amazing, practically more grounded than Mike… we’ve never done a conventional romantic tale, and this is anything but a customary romantic tale.”
The initial two ‘Enchantment Mike’ films earned almost $300 million at the overall film industry, and have brought forth a live stage show establishment playing urban communities including London, Las Vegas, Berlin and Australia.
