Scout Willis smiles with her ‘papa,’ Bruce Willis, as she tweets a cute photo

Following the announcement of her father’s aphasia diagnosis, Scott Willis tweeted a wonderful snapshot of her connecting with him.

Willis, 30, smiled with her father as they reclined in an arm chair together in the shot.

‘Papa,’ she captioned the photo, which also included a red heart and a flame emoji. It’s not known when the photograph was taken.

‘It was very odd yesterday, revealing something so personal,’ she wrote. ‘I had no idea how it would be accepted; there is always an uncertainty when sharing so openly with the public.’ I had hoped for some love and sympathy, but I could never have imagined the depth and breadth of the love we got as a family yesterday.’

Willis, 67, said this week that he is retiring from acting after being diagnosed with aphasia, a neurological disorder that limits his ability to interpret language.

Long before his family disclosed on Wednesday that the legendary actor had been diagnosed with a brain ailment, Bruce allegedly struggled with cognitive impairments on the sets of his films for years, and even used an earpiece to give him lines.

According to an unidentified insider, the actor’s decreasing cognitive abilities was a well-kept secret in Hollywood, since he frequently struggled to act in his films.

Willis has appeared in almost 70 films since his debut in the 1970s. His instantly identifiable visage aids in the international distribution of low-budget films. According to the Los Angeles Times, he has largely worked with the production firms Emmett/Furla Oasis and 308 Entertainment in recent years.

Since their announcement, his family has shared heartfelt condolences to the late actor.

Scout also included a second photo of Bruce standing shirtless with a silly look in her Thursday post.

Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah, his three children with ex-wife Demi Moore, looked to be engraved on his breast beneath a heart symbol.
