Simon Cowell discusses his traumatic time following a bike accident: ‘I felt very low.’

Simon Cowell recently opened out about his arduous rehabilitation at his Malibu, Florida home after crashing his motorcycle and suffering serious injuries.

The music entrepreneur opened out about his sadness in a recent interview with The Sun.

“When I fractured my back, I contemplated treatment for the first time because I was really, very, very down,” he told the site.

Cowell said, “I felt really depressed because I didn’t know how to convey it to Eric.”

“With him, I couldn’t accomplish all I wanted.” He said, “I wasn’t sure whether I’d ever be able to walk again, let alone play football with him.”

“That was the lowest time of my life.” I was taking a lot of painkillers at the time, but I was able to taper off rapidly. That was not a path I wanted to take.

“But in the end, I decided against treatment since I had incredible physicians, Lauren was fantastic, and Eric was brilliant,” he explained.

“I’m still wearing a back brace that I have to wear when I ride my bike, and there are some fairly substantial screws in my back that I’ll have to live with for the rest of my life.”

“However, I’m here, and I’m still living.” And for that, I’m grateful,” said the TV star, who owns up to 15 E-bikes for up to £20,000.
